Funki Munki has created its own set of product tags with the aim of helping people to quickly identify if a product is suited to their situation. This has been created in-shop using each products packaging information and ingredient list – due to human error we cannot guarantee that all tags are correct, so we are always grateful for correction and feedback 🙂

The criteria we have used for each tag are:

Certified Organic – has an ‘official’ certified organic label

Chemical Free – has not been officially certified, but is known to be produced or grown without synthetics

Regenerative – is certified or known to be produced or grown via regenerative agriculture principles

Non GMO – this statement is specifically listed in its information

Biodynamic – has been certified or known to be produced or grown biodynamically

Biodegradable – the product and packaging are all biodegradable or compostable

Carbon Neutral – this statement is specifically listed in its information

Glass – the product is packaged in glass (ie also BPA free)

BPA Free – this statement is specifically listed in its information and may relate to the product itself or its packaging

Australian Owned – the ‘brand’ is an Australian owned company (not just an importer)

Australian Made/Grown – a majority of the product is processed, blended or created in Australia, or it has been grown in Australia (not just repackaged or simply imported)

Fair Trade – has an official certified ‘Fair Trade’ label

Certified B Company – has an official ‘Certified B Company’ label

Local Business – any business located within a 100km radius around Inverell

Locally Made – products are created or grown within a 100km radius around Inverell

Dietary/consumable ingredient tags are derived from ingredient lists. Paleo, Keto and FODMAP tags are only included if specifically stated on a product. The Vegan tag is used for both vegan and vegetarian options. The Vegetarian tag is used where some animal derived ingredients are used (e.g. dairy and/or bee derived). Gluten Free also implies Wheat Free.

Low Sugar – products that total sugar levels are below 1.5gm/100gm

May Contain Allergens – a warning is specifically listed on the product (ie the product does not have a dedicated commercial processing facility)

Non consumable item tags are derived from their product information or ingredient lists. We have tried to be as accurate as possible, but chemistry is not our forte! The Cruelty Free tag indicates an ‘official’ label or statement is on the product.
